Alexis Anderson is one of the Corporate members from UA Augustana.  Alexis will be sharing her story with us at our meeting.

Project Halo Dogs Society was created to address a critical gap in support services, particularly in rural areas. When Alberta’s original Victim Services dog retired, the province experienced a decline in court support provided by these incredible animals. Compounded by the redesign of Victim Services, rural Alberta has seen a complete loss of dogs supporting the most vulnerable during court proceedings.

Recognizing this need, Project Halo Dogs Society was born. Our dogs and dedicated handlers volunteer their time to provide comfort, support, and even a bit of joy to individuals who need it most—whether in courtrooms or their communities. Our mission is to ensure that no one feels alone during challenging times, and we believe our four-legged friends play a pivotal role in making that happen.

Larry and Patrice Johnson travel the world and would like to share some of the interesting art projects they have seen.

Representatives of 4 local not-for-profit organizations will participate in a panel discussion of their current projects and what support they need from the community.  We invited the Women's Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, BGC Camrose and Camrose Pregnancy Care Centre to come.

Project Amigo has a long-standing affiliation with Rotary Clubs in Canada, USA and Mexico in educating young people in and around Colima, Mexico. Merle Taylor, a Canadian champion for Project Amigo, will provide us with information about the program and its impact. Lou and Morris Henderson attended a work week at Project Amigo in 2020.  They will share highlights of their experience along with Merle's presentation.

Treasurers Lou and Morris Henderson will present the 2025 2026 Operating Budget that has been recommended by the Joint Executive Board.  Destiny Reay will lead us through the process of making loans to KIVA applicants in developing countries.

We will gather at the Rotary Pavilion to celebrate the end of a successful Rotary year.  This will be the last meeting that Jan, our Rotary Youth Exchange student, will attend so we can say good-bye.

Larry Johnson has information to share on the Camrose Bench project that was proposed last spring.

Updates on changes to weekly meetings now that we are in our new location at the Rotary Youth Centre.

Adan is a fairly new member to our Club. We will learn something about Adan's background and her interests including her recently launched second book of poetry:  Wilted Jasmines - After The Wilt.

After a year in his role as Dean of Camrose's Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta, Dr. Parkins is presenting to Rotary Camrose.  He will outline recent changes implemented and things we can expect to see in the future.
